Coach Support Worker (CSW)

Candidates must be 16 years of age to undertake the CSW course.

The CSW courses are aimed at individuals who are looking to assist in the delivery of high quality practical cricket coaching sessions within a club environment, under the direct supervision of an ECB qualified coach.
The course replaces the previous ECB Coach Assistant UKCC1 course and is the first step onto the ECB Coach Education pathway.
At just 6 hours long it is the ideal way for parents, volunteers or teachers to gain the confidence, knowledge and understanding required to support the delivery of cricket coaching sessions at their club or school.
The course is delivered by qualified ECB tutors in a fun and fast moving environment and will cover all the key coaching and associated areas including: games, skills, techniques, safety, umpiring, warm up, cool down and working effectively as part of the coaching team.
In addition our tutors will look to tailor each individual course to the requirements of the candidates.

As part of the course candidates will be required to complete an online Safeguarding Young Cricketers module and an ECB DBS formally CRB, Vetting check.

The cost per course is £45.00 for SCB Affiliated Club members or £55.00 for non-members.

Cricket Activator for 14-16 year olds (formally Young Leaders)

The Cricket Activator course looks to identify and understand the various roles that make cricket happen, understand the expectations of people in these roles, and to understand how to promote cricket to get more people playing more often. It will also signpost attendees to further opportunities to progress as part of the cricket workforce.
The course is delivered by qualified ECB tutors in a fun and fast moving environment and will cover all the key coaching and volunteering areas.
In addition our tutors will look to tailor each individual course to the requirements of the candidates.

This is a 6 hour course and is aimed at people wishing to volunteer in any way at all to assist in getting cricket played and ensuring that it is played more often.

The course is open to all and there is no upper or lower age limit.
Candidates will be required to complete a period of logged voluntary activity prior to certification.

The cost per course is £10.00 for SCB Affiliated Club/School members or £25.00 for non-members.

In addition to the courses detailed below, Cricket Activator courses can be scheduled on a bespoke basis at the request of a club or school.

For all bespoke courses we will require a minimumof 10 candidates and an outdoor facility, with an indoor facility back up in the event of wet weather.
The SCB will supply all course resources, tutors and equipment.
