Somerset then introduced their spinners who reduced the run rate and put Dorset behind the clock. Brian Stone bowled a miserly spell of nine overs one for 22 and it was the spinners who saw Somerset home by sending down 29 overs in all at the cost of 112 runs and capturing four wickets between them.
Sapey and Jenkins both claimed excellent run out and 11 were needed off the last over.
Terry Clark was entrusted with that responsibility and keeping it tight ensured victory to end with figures of one for 19 from his seven overs three of which were maidens.
This was an excellent team effort with only 10 fielders for the full 45 overs.
