SCB KO Cups

The road to The Cooper Associates County Ground starts here!

We run three T20 cups, each one is for a particular band of clubs to enter so that competition is fair and meaningful. The matches are initially played at a local level before becoming county-wide, culminating in a six team finals day at The Cooper Associates County Ground with the date to be confirmed shortly.

  1. The Major Cup is open to all SCB affiliated teams who play in the West of England Premier League.
  2. The Intermediate Cup is open to SCB affiliated teams who play in any of the top three divisions of the Bristol & District, Somerset or Wiltshire Cricket Leagues
  3. The Minor Cup is open to all other teams who affiliate to the Somerset Cricket Board.

We recommend all clubs understand the rules of the competitions as in 2019 two clubs were disqualified from the cup for playing ineligible player: SCB KO Cup Rules

Statement on the 2020 Competitions

The announcement made by the Government last Friday evening (3rd July) that matches of recreational cricket could return from tomorrow (11th July) was very welcome news for the whole cricket family and I am sure many of you will be looking forward to being back to the park tomorrow.

On behalf of the SCB and the KO Cup Committee I would like to update you on the SCB KO Cups this summer.

Having looked at the many factors and logistics involved in the three competitions plus trying to ensure there is a fair balance of playing opportunities for men, women, boys and girls in this reduced window for cricket, we have reluctantly decided to cancel the SCB KO Cups for 2020.

We are happy to rollover all entries and payments for the 2021 competitions or a refund can be claimed if you prefer:

Refund Procedure

For us to issue the refund of your cup entry fee please email accounts@somersetcricketboard.org with your club name and club BACS details and the refund will be made as quickly as possible.

We look forward the competitions running as normal in 2021 and hope you enjoy playing in what remains of the summer.
