2019 promises to be a fantastic year for cricket in this country with both the Ashes and the Cricket World Cup taking place in England during what should be a great summer to showcase our wonderful sport.

Working alongside the ECB we are already developing plans to deliver initiatives that will look to build a legacy to follow from the 2019 summer.

With this in mind Somerset Cricket Board is delighted to announce that it will be holding Four Club Development Roadshows to help clubs look ahead to the 2019 season and for us to share some of the headline activities that will be taking place during next year. The forum will also be an opportunity for us to share some of the changes that are happening within certain parts of the ECB and how these will impact upon the club cricket network:

All meetings start at 7pm and will last approximately 90 minutes.

Specific items that we will cover during the evenings will include:

  • Cricket World Cup offers for clubs
  • All Stars Cricket
  • Junior formats Youth Cricket
  • Women’s & Girl’s Cricket Offer
  • U19T20
  • GDPR- Is your club compliant?
  • Funding sources for clubs
  • ECB and Somerset Cricket Board Support
  • Changes to the Somerset Coach and Player Pathway

Who should attend?

The roadshows will be useful for club and league committee members and existing or potential club volunteers.

Is there a cost?

No, it is a service that we offer to all affiliated clubs as part of our support package.

Sounds good, sign me up!
