Somerset Boys Emerging Players Programme

The Somerset Emerging Players Programme (EPP) facilitates players’ development with the aim of individuals transitioning into the ECB Regional Squads, the Potential Somerset Players Programme or the Academy.

Players between the ages of Under 13 – Under 16 are selected from the County Age Group Programme as a result of exceptional playing performances and/or perceived potential within the Somerset Player Pathway.

EPP sessions run between November and April and provide players with access to the following:

  • Cricket skill development support from specialist coaches
  • Athletic Development support from Somerset County Cricket Club staff
  • Personal Development Planning and reflection & reviewing support
  • Integration with Somerset Academy Cricketers, when appropriate, to enhance development

The EPP programme is constantly reviewed to ensure players that are performing to the desired level are able to access the programme at any time.
