Somerset Women
Somerset Women play in Division 2 of both the 50 over and Twenty20 format. Captained by Sophie Luff, they play their home games at various grounds around Somerset.
Players are invited to train with Somerset Women as a result of good performances in Under 17’s cricket. The women’s winter programme is delivered at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton with various training opportunities between January – April.
The summer programme consists of pre-season friendlies against neighbouring counties followed by 12 ECB fixtures, comprising of eight 50 over and four Twenty20 days.
In recent years Anya Shrubsole and Fran Wilson have played for Somerset Women and England, whilst Performance Head Coach, Sophie Luff has also represented England at a Senior Academy level.
