As you will all be aware, government restrictions mean recreational team sports aren’t able to organise matches at the moment. With easing of several other government restrictions, recent positive comments from government ministers and the release of the ECB’s Roadmap for the Return to Play we are hopeful that cricket matches will be able to played this summer. To that end, we want to hear from all adult (14+) cricketers who were planning on playing this summer as to their thoughts about a return to play.

Your input will help us to work with our clubs and leagues in Somerset to provide opportunities to play that are wanted by you, the players. It will also help us to understand concerns and fears of players that will need to be addressed in order to get as many people as possible enjoying some cricket this summer.

Please ‘spread the word’ so we get as many responses as possible to help us with our planning. There is only a short window (closes at midnight on Thursday 25th June) where the survey is open. This is because time is of the essence and we want to be in a position to get cricket played as soon as easing of government restrictions allow us to do so.

There are two surveys for players to complete; one for league cricketers and one for adult (14+) female cricketers only. We have tried to keep them as short as possible so they shouldn’t take any longer than 3 or 4 minutes to complete.

Survey: League cricketer’s questionnaire (10 – 14 questions)

Who should fill it out: All cricketers who were planning on playing weekend league cricket in Somerset in 2020.

Survey: Women’s cricket playing questionnaire (9 – 10 questions)

Who should fill it out: All females planning on playing open-age (14+) cricket in Somerset this summer

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey!
