Over 90 teams started the journey to The Cooper Associates County Ground and now only 6 teams remain battling it out for glory at Finals Day on Sunday 4th August.
The Minor Cup sees Bishops Hull take on Huntspill & District at 10am. Bishops Hull have beaten holders Trull 2nds, Ashbrittle & Holford on route to the Semi-Final where they beat Castle Cary by just 1 run.
Huntspill have seen off Blagdon followed by Lympsham & Belevdere 2nds before beating Horrington by 8 wickets thanks to an unbeaten half century from Jake Randall & 46 from Nick Slack.
Both sides have never won this competition so there will be a new name on the trophy on Sunday
In the Major Cup start around 1pm, North Perrott face Frome. North Perrott saw off Prem 1 side Bridgwater in the Semi-Final thanks to an Alex Eckland half-century and Gordon Whorlow hitting the final ball of the game for 4 to seal victory!
Frome beat Congresbury in their semi-final having defeated higher league opposition on route. Frome knockout holders Bath in an amazing games which saw them go though on less wickets with the scored tied on 226. Frome’s Robin Lett hit an unbeaten 123 off 62 balls and was supported by 60 from Reece Croker as they chased the huge target.
2015 Minor Cup Winners Bear Flat play North Newton as both look to win the Intermediate Cup for the first time starting at 4pm. Bear Flat have beaten Midsomer Norton 2nds, Peasedown St John, Keynsham 2nds and Lympsham & Belvedere in the Semi-Finals.
North Newton saw off Taunton St Andrews 2nds, Staplegrove, Trull, and Long Sutton on thier journey to the Final.
Entry to the ground is free and Stagglers Coffee House is open all day along with Bradley’s Bar in the Somerset Pavilion.
