Over 90 teams started the journey to The Cooper Associates County Ground and now only 12 teams remain battling it out for a place at Finals Day on Sunday 4th August.

Major Cup

In the Major Cup, North Perrott host Bridgwater for a place in the final. The home side saw off Shapwick & Polden in the Quarter Finals thanks to 70 from Captain George Retter, whilst the visitors who last won the competition in 2015 beat Wellington in a low scoring game against Wellington with Matt Habberfield taking 5-13.

Frome host Congresbury in the second semi-final with both teams defeating higher league opposition on route. Frome knockout holders Bath in an amazing games which saw them go though on less wickets with the scored tied on 226. Frome’s Robin Lett hit an unbeaten 123 off 62 balls and was supported by 60 from Reece Croker as they chased the huge target. Congresbury beat current WEPL Champions Clevedon by 7 wickets as they chased 159 thanks to Justin Yau’s 59.

Intermediate Cup

2017 Minor Cup Winners Lympsham & Belvedere host 2015 Minor Cup Winners Bear Flat as both look to win the Intermediate Cup for the first time. Lympsham & Belvedere have seen of higher league opposition in the form of Uphill Castle, Cheddar & Old Bristolians Westbury and Bear Flat have beaten Midsomer Norton 2nds, Peasedown St John & Keynsham 2nds.

Long Sutton Winners of the Minor Cup in 2014 face North Newton in the second Semi Final. Long Sutton saw off Ilminster 2nd in the Quarter Final thanks to 69 from Dan Lazarides. North Newton saw off Trull on thier journey to the Semi Finals with Chris Wadham taking 3-5.

Minor Cup

Huntspill & District host Horrington in the first Minor Cup Semi-Final. Huntspill have seen off Blagdon followed by Lympsham & Belevdere 2nds whilst thier visitors Horrington beat Timsbury 2nds & Chilcompton Sports.

In the last game Bishops Hull who have beaten holders Trull 2nds, Ashbrittle & Holford welcome Castle Cary who have progressed past Crewkerne, Churchinford & Ilton.
